“The whole universe is inside the guru, the guru remains in the whole universe”

Three months after Paramahamsa Hariharananda’s mahasamadhi, I had a dream with him in it.  He was laying on the bed reading the Bhagavad-Gita and he wanted me to see exactly what he was reading: Chapter 11, verses 5 thru 9, the moment when Krishna reveals his cosmic form to Arjuna, “Behold I am the infinite universe.” (note* Gurudev would often teach in this manner, by saying a verse from the Bhagavad-Gita and stating the chapter and verse number)

What I learnt from this dream was that Gurudev Baba Hariharananda was more than the physical body. Time and space had no limit: he was beyond it. The Sun sets every day. Just because it goes below the horizon and you can not see it, does not mean it is not there. Just because we can no longer see his physical presence, does not mean he is not there. Guru is the entire universe, all-prevading, omniscient, omnipresent. The guru-disciple relationship is eternal, unbroken. He is still with us in every breath. This is his holy love. This is Baba Hariharananda. Meditate and perceive his holy love.
